Y2Krafty Kickback

Y2Krafty Kickback was a Y2K-inspired community art event co-created and hosted by me
and collaborator Tiana Monet in partnership with Delusional Birdshop. Designed as part of
Downtown Seattle Art Walk, the event transformed a retail space into a playful, low-pressure
environment centered on hands-on collage, connection, and nostalgia.
The goal was to create an event that felt welcoming to both creative and non-creative
attendees, emphasizing process over outcome and encouraging people to engage with their
surroundings through making. By pairing tactile art activities with familiar cultural
touchstones—early-2000s aesthetics, films, and music—we lowered barriers to participation and
invited a broad audience into creative play.
